Multiple Sclerosis Center of Rhode Island located within Brown Neurology provides the highest level of diagnostic and long term multidisciplinary care to individuals with multiple sclerosis and related disorders.

The Center is affiliated with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS). Through this affiliation, the MS Center works directly with the National MS Society to provide enhanced healthcare, educational programs and community services to individuals with multiple sclerosis.

The center provides on-site infusion treatment, physical therapy and support programs. Newly diagnosed MS patient can be to be evaluated at the Newly Diagnosed MS Clinic which provides comprehensive baseline PT, OT evaluations and educational and social support.

The Multiple Sclerosis Center is staffed by two MS fellowship trained neurologist Dr. Syed Rizvi and Dr. Jonathan Cahill, an MS fellow as well as several infusion nurses, research assistants and administrative assistants.

The staff works closely with patients, their family members, primary care physicians, and coordinates care with other specialty providers in physical and occupational therapy, urology, ophthalmology, neuropsychology, neurosurgery and psychiatry to develop the best treatment plan possible and to provide comprehensive MS care to their patients.
